The purpose of the organization:
- Charitable efforts in the United States of America (USA) and Nigeria
- Promote the cultural heritage of the people of Delta State of Nigeria in the United States of America
- Promote social, cultural, and educational advancement of the people of Delta State of Nigeria origin in the USA and Nigeria
- Unifying, identifying, educating, and promoting the socio-cultural and economic development of the people of Delta State origin and their families residing in Minnesota, while improving the lives of the people of Delta State in Nigeria.

The Council of Chiefs Minnesota is committed to unifying, identifying, educating, and promoting the socio-cultural and economic development of the people of Delta State origin and their families residing in Minnesota, while improving the lives of the people of Delta State in Nigeria.
Our Objectives
- Unifying and fostering a closer tie between citizens of both sub-nations (Delta state of Nigeria and Minnesota) with common ancestry.
- Identifying areas of common interest to boost cultural and socio-economic activities of both sub-nations.
- Educating the younger generation on the unique values and morals of both sub-nations through exchange programs
- Promoting a closer relationship between both sub-nations in the areas of economy and technology.
